The Immerse Exhibition run by the Knox City Council – 30 Exhibitions, 30 Days, 30 Venues has another important number – and that number is two.
Two photographers from KPS, Janette Anderson and Sheryle Griffiths are sharing a venue for their exhibitions.
Says Janette of her works: My current body of work explores the idea and effects of combining multiple images to form a single image creating an altered reality portrait. Experimenting with blending multiple exposures makes for an interesting and beautiful mix of emotion and allows for fun and creative, deep and meaningful, and fascinating combinations.
From Sheryle: The majority of my images on display are landscapes with the exception of one, a tiger whose gaze will penetrate and reach into your soul. Take some time out from your busy daily activities and come up to The Food Gallery Cafe, sit for a moment or two – enjoy a coffee and pick one image and “IMMERSE yourself into it ” like the “Delatite River at Merrijig” below, imagine you are there sitting by the river quietly can you hear the birds in the trees and the sounds generated by the Delatite River as it passes by you on its journey to Lake Eildon?
Look at each of the images and imagine you are there – what can you hear, what can you feel ?
The Food Gallery Cafe is at 213 Stud Road Wantirna in the Studfield Shopping Centre (about half way between Boronia Road the Burwood Highway). The Immerse exhibitions will be on show until December 14 2015.
