Historic Monochromes with Paul Robinson

Paul Robinson, well known within the Australian photographic scene (photographer, judge, author etc) visited KPS with some of his extensive collection of historic monochromes about which he spoke.

They talk of ‘the good old days’ but Paul reminded us that, whereas we find it easy to shoot 1000 frames in a day, many of the photographers of old may not have even taken a thousand images in their lifetime.

Paul reminded us that once photographer had to travel with their darkrooms, mix chemicals in the field and process their images immediately – definitely not the good old days.
